Nothing much to say about today since I havent been doing anything. My blog is so boring that alvan said he fell asleep while reading it, and it was like only two posts?! Oh.. Yes yes.. Alvan should be worth mentioning, since he is kinda like a special friend. So if you are reading this, or if you manage to, remember that you're special even though you only msg me when you are bored.. haha.. okay blah blah blah.. this can go on forever.. This guy is a friend I've known for 5-6 years now.. Well.. Its complicated and I'll touch on this in another post as its way too long even if its just a summary..so..... Because of his comment, I've decided not to blog about me for today, instead, I'm gonna blog about a place I've been dying to go ever since god knows when.. Hee.. totally anticipating the day I'll get to sit on that plane with seok and maybe mengli.. Taiwan should be the first destination I'll be heading to, and the second will probably be Bali or Phuket and if I'm richer after slogging hard on part-times, I might be able to afford to go to Japan.. But I doubt its possible in the near future. With that, I'm now gonna include some of the places I would like to visit when I'm in Taiwan and hopefully it'll motivate me to save up till then..

haha.. this is the hotel that me and seok agreed to stay in: Rainbow Hotel.. Doesnt look very attractive on the outside.. the fact is.. doesnt really look attractive on the inside either! haha.. but its near to xi men ding, its cheap and we are working on a low budget here, so its okay.. =)

Whats Taiwan without Shi lin night market? lols... definitely cannot miss this. I heard they've got lots of shops, their products are catered for the student crowd, and whats more.. Its not too expensive! =D oh.. I'm such a cheapo..
There are several ways to get to Shi Lin Night Market.
You can take the MRT Danshui line to Chientan Station, or take bus 216, 217, 218, 203, 224, 266, 269, 277, 280, 308, or 310 to the MRT Chientan Station, Min Chuan University, or Xiao Bei (Hsiao Pei) Street. Or, of course, you can simply take a taxi.

Yes.. looking at the amount of lights and people, we can all tell that this is none other than Xi Men Ding, which, if nothing goes wrong, will be right next to where we are staying. If we are lucky enough, we might even get to see some celebrities organising some 'qian chang hui' right outside our window! =) there was this girl who wrote in her blog tt she saw luo zhi xiang, jolin, stanley and rainie at ximending when she was in taiwan.. and she saw ho yao sun a few streets away (not really a fan of her though).. How lucky!

I'm not a very stauch Buddhist I must say but I guess I should never miss Taiwan's Long Shan Shi.. I heard that its all padded with gold and it is very accurate, so I guess superstition requires confirmation for me.. =D Haha... guess where I got this pic from? It was from a guy's blog and he calls it his 'zai nan ri zi'.. Its pretty weird, calling himself a 'zai nan'.. I think he probably thinks its cool.. To each his own.. I must say..

Do you know, Taiwan is ranked among the top 15 hot spring mineral water sites in the world?! Taiwan has one of the highest concentrations (more than 100 hot springs) and greatest variety of thermal springs in the world varying from hot springs to cold springs, mud springs, and seabed hot springs. WooooOow.. look at that.. If I'm not wrong its in Wu lai.. Kinda far away too.. still.. its good to dream that I'll ever get there.. 0.0 Whether or not its Wulai or Yang Ming Shan.. I must try the hot spring in Taiwan.. Its not as good as Japan I heard but still it looks good... =) and not forgetting to shout out 'KIMOCHI!!' once I get in.. cool!!

This is the Sun Moon Lake, originally named 'Where water and sand meet'.. pretty cheesy huh.. It is the largest natural lake in Taiwan. The Eastern part of the lake is round like the sun, while the western part is shaped like a crescent moon, hence the name 'Sun Moon Lake'. Dont think I can tell the difference though..

Yes.. as much as I dread.. Travelling in a group means having to accomodate one another and go the places they wanna go. Seok wishes to go to the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, she claims that she wants to feel the atmosphere of the place where Energy held their first concert.. although I dont really see the significance.. Anyway its good as I can bring home some historical knowledge instead of just taiwan products.. hee =D

Double Heart of Stacked Stones
Lastly, its the place I want to go most and the place I'm the least able to go because it is located at an island very far away from taichung. I've always wanted to make a trip down to Peng Hu, and take a good look at the twin hearts, naturally shaped by stones. Its really a miracle how the stones actually grouped together and formed the shape of the twin hearts. I think it'll be really romantic to have your guy around when you see this.. seriously.. Its not everyday that you come across stones in a heart shape and I think its really meaningful.. =) This magnificent view can be found in one of the islands in PengHu (Pescadores Island), Cimei.

Realised that I havent started on food? I think Taiwan food looks more appetizing as they emphasize alot on the image rather than the taste(i think it'll taste as gd as it looks..) I'm definitely not going to eat some bak chor mee(a bowl with noodles and minced meat) when I'm there, its like, I can get it anywhere in Sg.. And of cos no Yoshinoya or Macs.. There'll probably be only a slight difference.. Ha! Well we dont really have a definite place or food to try but I know Seok wants to try the oyster mee sua.. I guess food is about the same everywhere in Taiwan so we'll explore as we shop.. esp the night markets..
Whee! All these researching gets me really excited. Dad thinks I'm crazy, surfing the net for hours on somewhere I'm gonna go a year later.. But I'm really bored so its kinda entertaining and I can do this for hours.. Just like I can watch DBSK for hours and hours and not get sick of them.. haha.. Oh gosh.. Its getting late and I have math extra lesson tmr!! Help!!
