  • Me and my little world.

This little blog has not been updated for a very long time. The reason being, I've found a better one which has a much better appearance compared to this. Life is very unfair to ugly things, I know. So this blog is now reserved for me and seok. Whenever I get thoughts about certain things in life and I only want to let seok know, I'll blog here so if she sees it, she'll not be worried if anyone else know.

Blogs are for free expression, not good impression, as much as I want to apply this theory into my life, It is not possible. Because everyone judges one another through their appearance. If your blog is nice, you'll want to read more. If you look good, people want to be close to you. Today, I've realised that we people tend to live in denial. As much as we say 'I dont go for appearance', It is nothing but a lie. How we lie and cheat ourselves, comforting our young souls that we are not that shallow, the truth is, we do judge. Say for example, if you say that your girl is not that hot nor pretty but you still ended up with her. This only means that you know she is not beautiful, you put this fact into your heart, you judge just like everyone else, and to a certain extend it'll  affect your relationship with her in the future, because thats a bad point that is stored at the back of your mind. I do admit, I am guilty of judging, but because I know my limitations, I judge but I dont get too choosy over this criteria. Definitely I'll not fall for somebody I am not able to face eye to eye to without being disgusted. (sorry but that's the truth.) I am direct and hurtful but at least I am not lying. If there's anything you can do, It is to try and change the way you look. Because the society gives pretty people alot of chances. In the sales industry, why do people go to NUM to get stuff? Because cool people are selling it, cool people are buying it and cool people are wearing it. Same for the other brands, adidas, nike, puma and converse. Appearance is everything. In the working industry, many companies prefer pleasant looking workers. I've been to an interview whereby the blardy manager kept talking to my mixed blood friend, all because she is alot prettier, but is there anything I can do? yes. Change your appearance, decorate yourself to fit in, to survive. Ultimately, thats what its all about. Indeed, pretty is just a word, but appearance is everything..

  • Pepero Day

According to Seok Peng, the 11th of Nov is Pepero Day, a special day celebrated by young korean couples (sort of like Valentine's day). How this day came about please refer to Seok's blog as she will give you a very brief explanation. So today I'm going to blog along the lines of love and relationships. After having my share of experience(not much) I've realised that I havent found the right one yet, which is so normal given anyone my age. Hence, the message I'm trying to bring across is, it is okay to get into a relationship, don't be too afraid of getting into one because of fear of being hurt, or constantly having thoughts like, 'what if he is not the one for me?'. Seriously, nobody knows! Not even the one chasing you knows if you are the right one for him. But that is the reason why you have to try. Life is very short, shorter than you can imagine, and whats worse is that you can never turn back the time and relive that period of your life. To put it in a simple and practical sense, fate doesnt give us too many opportunities and so you can never afford to miss one. I used to take for granted many things in life and I thought everything will always remain the same, but feelings come and go, I've loved and lost but there is nothing I can do to salvage this, and all I can do now is to lay in regret for all the silly thoughts of thinking that I had it all under control. Thus, my point being, its normal to get into a relationship and fall out of one. Do not grieve, yet you should give yourself a pat and thank god for giving you such an opportunity, for now you know, she aint the one for you and if you were to be in a legal commitment with her, things would have been much more complicating. This is the logic that I've always kept at the back of my mind and I hope it helps by sharing, but hey, no obligations to nod in agreement. =) Recently, a friend of mine fell out of love, and knowing what a sentimental guy he is, I know he is having a hard time dealing with his emotions, though he tries very hard not to show. All I can say is, look on the bright side of things and hopefully recover your fun and cheerful attitude soon! If this helps, at times like this you know you'll always have us to fall back on.. =) So dont worry too much about it and it'll all go away soon enough.. take care and keep on smiling! =D

Okay, thats about all I have to say about relationships and those lovey dovey stuff! You know, I dont have all the experience.. Ahh. Finally, tomorrow we will be having our first long anticipated dramafest meeting and I know its gonna be lotsa fun and laughters! Really looking forward to it and hopefully it doesnt turn out to be a disappointment! =) Ciouz!

  • Welcome to taiwan =D

Nothing much to say about today since I havent been doing anything. My blog is so boring that alvan said he fell asleep while reading it, and it was like only two posts?! Oh.. Yes yes.. Alvan should be worth mentioning, since he is kinda like a special friend. So if you are reading this, or if you manage to, remember that you're special even though you only msg me when you are bored.. haha.. okay blah blah blah.. this can go on forever.. This guy is a friend I've known for 5-6 years now.. Well.. Its complicated and I'll touch on this in another post as its way too long even if its just a summary..so..... Because of his comment, I've decided not to blog about me for today, instead, I'm gonna blog about a place I've been dying to go ever since god knows when.. Hee.. totally anticipating the day I'll get to sit on that plane with seok and maybe mengli.. Taiwan should be the first destination I'll be heading to, and the second will probably be Bali or Phuket and if I'm richer after slogging hard on part-times, I might be able to afford to go to Japan.. But I doubt its possible in the near future. With that, I'm now gonna include some of the places I would like to visit when I'm in Taiwan and hopefully it'll motivate me to save up till then..

    Exterior

haha.. this is the hotel that me and seok agreed to stay in: Rainbow Hotel.. Doesnt look very attractive on the outside.. the fact is.. doesnt really look attractive on the inside either! haha.. but its near to xi men ding, its cheap and we are working on a low budget here, so its okay.. =)

Whats Taiwan without Shi lin night market? lols... definitely cannot miss this. I heard they've got lots of shops, their products are catered for the student crowd, and whats more.. Its not too expensive! =D oh.. I'm such a cheapo..

There are several ways to get to Shi Lin Night Market.
You can take the MRT Danshui line to Chientan Station, or take bus 216, 217, 218, 203, 224, 266, 269, 277, 280, 308, or 310 to the MRT Chientan Station, Min Chuan University, or Xiao Bei (Hsiao Pei) Street. Or, of course, you can simply take a taxi.

Yes.. looking at the amount of lights and people, we can all tell that this is none other than Xi Men Ding, which, if nothing goes wrong, will be right next to where we are staying. If we are lucky enough, we might even get to see some celebrities organising some 'qian chang hui' right outside our window! =) there was this girl who wrote in her blog tt she saw luo zhi xiang, jolin, stanley and rainie at ximending when she was in taiwan.. and she saw ho yao sun a few streets away (not really a fan of her though).. How lucky!

I'm not a very stauch Buddhist I must say but I guess I should never miss Taiwan's Long Shan Shi.. I heard that its all padded with gold and it is very accurate, so I guess superstition requires confirmation for me.. =D Haha... guess where I got this pic from? It was from a guy's blog and he calls it his 'zai nan ri zi'.. Its pretty weird, calling himself a 'zai nan'.. I think he probably thinks its cool.. To each his own.. I must say..

Stylish spa at Wu Lai, Taiwan spa resorts  Peitou spa resort, Whispering Pines  Taipei spas, Wu Lai pool

Do you know, Taiwan is ranked among the top 15 hot spring mineral water sites in the world?! Taiwan has one of the highest concentrations (more than 100 hot springs) and greatest variety of thermal springs in the world varying from hot springs to cold springs, mud springs, and seabed hot springs. WooooOow.. look at that.. If I'm not wrong its in Wu lai.. Kinda far away too.. still.. its good to dream that I'll ever get there.. 0.0 Whether or not its Wulai or Yang Ming Shan.. I must try the hot spring in Taiwan.. Its not as good as Japan I heard but still it looks good... =) and not forgetting to shout out 'KIMOCHI!!' once I get in.. cool!!

This is the Sun Moon Lake, originally named 'Where water and sand meet'.. pretty cheesy huh.. It is the largest natural lake in Taiwan. The Eastern part of the lake is round like the sun, while the western part is shaped like a crescent moon, hence the name 'Sun Moon Lake'. Dont think I can tell the difference though..

      Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

Yes.. as much as I dread.. Travelling in a group means having to accomodate one another and go the places they wanna go. Seok wishes to go to the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, she claims that she wants to feel the atmosphere of the place where Energy held their first concert.. although I dont really see the significance.. Anyway its good as I can bring home some historical knowledge instead of just taiwan products.. hee =D

    Double-Heart of Stacked Stones

    Double Heart of Stacked Stones

Lastly, its the place I want to go most and the place I'm the least able to go because it is located at an island very far away from taichung. I've always wanted to make a trip down to Peng Hu, and take a good look at the twin hearts, naturally shaped by stones. Its really a miracle how the stones actually grouped together and formed the shape of the twin hearts. I think it'll be really romantic to have your guy around when you see this.. seriously.. Its not everyday that you come across stones in a heart shape and I think its really meaningful.. =) This magnificent view can be found in one of the islands in PengHu (Pescadores Island), Cimei.

      FLORENCE & VERA

Realised that I havent started on food? I think Taiwan food looks more appetizing as they emphasize alot on the image rather than the taste(i think it'll taste as gd as it looks..) I'm definitely not going to eat some bak chor mee(a bowl with noodles and minced meat) when I'm there, its like, I can get it anywhere in Sg.. And of cos no Yoshinoya or Macs.. There'll probably be only a slight difference.. Ha! Well we dont really have a definite place or food to try but I know Seok wants to try the oyster mee sua.. I guess food is about the same everywhere in Taiwan so we'll explore as we shop.. esp the night markets..

Whee! All these researching gets me really excited. Dad thinks I'm crazy, surfing the net for hours on somewhere I'm gonna go a year later.. But I'm really bored so its kinda entertaining and I can do this for hours.. Just like I can watch DBSK for hours and hours and not get sick of them.. haha.. Oh gosh.. Its getting late and I have math extra lesson tmr!! Help!!

  • Elated, Happy, Relieved, Glad, and gleaming with joy! =D

Whahahaha!! After one long long day of sitting in front of the com trying to perfect my blog, finally I can announce that I'm done! Although I uploaded alot of stuff which failed to appear and I'm still very confused and my blog is still very empty.. I'm glad to say that its definitely better than the previous one and I'm very proud of it! heh heh! Today is a fantastic day as I managed to struggle through 3 hours of math which I could never managed to do so before.. I must admit much of the credit goes to Ms Ho as today, I finally had a taste of her magnificent teaching skills. Every minute was a moment of revelation for me(goes to show how much I actually know). She is really a very dedicated teacher and her willingness to help every pupil is much appreciated. Its a pity how only after 2 yrs of JJC that I got to meet her cause I believe that she is the ONE who'll aid me in my pursuit for a pass in math. I guess I'll just have to work on my own since she is leaving. Its all too late.. Today is also a great day because I know I dont have to sit for the re-examination for econs! Isnt that great? haha.. So to celebrate this very day, what is the best thing to do? Of couse, without doubt, is to reward myself with sometime left alone with DBSK! =) Today I watched the couple talks and yeah.. It lived up to my expectations. was very entertaining(I'm not sure if they are really entertaining or is it because they are just dbsk? hmm.. think its both =D )  My dad and mum kept commenting on them.. haha.. Well knowing that I'll be offended, mum tried convincing me that couple talk sounded very gayish and dad kept commenting on how some of the members looked like some singaporean and taiwanese celebrities.. Oh Come On! They look so much better pls! Thats the reason why dad needs new specs and I'll get him a really thick one if he makes another such comment..! OKay I guess I'm done for today.. Getting a little tired after all that staring at the com and squeezing of brain juice. Off to get some rest.. =)
